Other web sites won't be able to display your images stored on your server. bbgallery BBGallery is a small Perl script for generating a number of HTML files from jpeg images to make up an image gallery. It uses The Gimp and Gimp-Perl to create thumbnails and to scale the images. It features: Thumbnail creation (size can be configured), Scaling images to a configurable size (optional), Links to full size image, Meta galleries (optional) (Galleries of galleries), Labels or text can be assigned to images and/or galleries using simple text files, Easy installation and use, No extra software needed to view galleries and images on any plattform (ideal for archiving images), and Automatic slideshow. Imagell Imagell is an automated system to serve a catagory-based picture library online. Features include: HTML customisation, keyword searching, hitcounting and ranking, web-based admin and web-based image uploading. Auto-Gallery Auto-Gallery automates the maintenance of large picture archives. You can add new pictures by simply uploading them. All you need to do is put pictures on your server and the program does the rest. It even determines the height and width of the pictures for you to make your pages look more professional and load faster. You control every aspect of the presentation, including style, colors, and even the order of the pictures. It also prevents others from loading the pictures off your server and using your bandwidth. Structured Web Image Gallery System SWIGS is a system for creating hierarchically organized sets of thumbnail galleries. Multiple sizes for each image are produced automatically, and each image can be annotated with a relevant description, date, photo credit, etc. The image galleries (albums) have a tree structure, each album possibly containing pictures and/or additional albums. The album is made up of a set of webpages: a set of thumbnail pages for the images in the gallery, a text-only list of all the images in the album (with description if available), and a page listing all the sub-albums of the current album, with a description and sample image for each. Mill Road Gallery Builder This is a Perl script that allows you to give your visitors a free art or photo gallery. Set the number of webpages and graphics uploads per gallery. Flexible layout allows for many kinds of webpage creation. Send email to all users. indexpage.pl indexpage.pl generates one or more index pages and the corresponding thumbnails for displaying images on the web. If there are more images available than will fit on one page with the specified number of rows and columns, indexpage.pl will generate more than one page, each with a navigator to easily reach the other pages. Image descriptions are read from a file, eliminating the need to ever edit the files after generating them; they can always be regenerated for ease of maintaining. Image Display System IDS is a CGI written in Perl that generates a photo album website on the fly. All you need to provide are the images and (optionally) text descriptions. As you add new pictures, they will appear automatically. Each image will be displayed with information such as image type, file size, image size, and date uploaded. If EXIF information is embedded in the image (shutter speed, aperature, focal length, etc.), it will be displayed. It will create thumbnail preview images for JPEG, PNG, and GIF images. It will also recognize and display QuickTime movies, MPEG movies, and MP3 files. IDS uses HTML templates, so you can easily customize the look of your site. PhotoShelf PhotoShelf is a web-based digital image management, archive and display system written in Perl, backended by PostgreSQL. It is used to catalogue and arrange into albums photos from a digital camera or any other source. It aims to be very featureful and a complete solution for the only place where your photos need to be stored. Current features include: Able to store thousands of images (author has 3000 currently); Arranges photos into albums with thumbnails; Album lists are very user friendly and can be nested; Upload images from the web - either raw .jpg, or tar/zip files can be automatically unpacked too; Metadata about images is stored, including photo exposure data, categorisation, keywords, dates; Automatically extracts information out of EXIF headers, used by many digital camers; Multiple users can have their own album hierarchy; Online help for every page; Anonymous access - a user can grant anonymous view access to albums, images, or selected images in an album; Uses a postgresql database as the backend - Image data is stored directly in a nested unix directory hierarchy, indexed within the database for fast access; and Can perform basic image manipulation functions from the web page. Slikpiks Photobook CGI Program SLIKPIKS is a set of Perl scripts wrapped in a Perl CGI to help with the automation of creating html photobooks for a set of JPEGs. It resizes images for thumbnails and web-sized images, adds captions, and auto-creates html. It is unique in that it allows you to add optional captions to your photos.
