Script Name Tell Somebody 2 This script includes all the features of "Tell Somebody" plus it allows your users to add their own messages if they would like. MasterRecommend MasterRecommend is an easy to install, easy to maintain CGI program for your visitors to recommend your website to their friends or associates. It is coded to minimize intentional and unintentional misuse, including spamming/blasting. The outgoing emails are formatted via simple templates kept in a separate file for quick and easy changes. Optional fields are a text area for personal messages from your visitor to the person whom your website is being recommended to and a checkbox for your visitor to request a copy of the mail being sent to her/his friend or associate. MasterRecommend also does a rudimentary check for obscenity and possibly offensive slurs and refuses to mail such to any but the webpage maintainer. Site Recommend This program allows you to put recommendation slot on your page so user can email all his friends and let them know about your page. It captures email addresses of both parties, checks to ensure no duplicates. It also checks to ensure both email addresses are really email addresses. Birdcast Birdcast is a very simple, yet powerful script that you can use to help promote your site. It features: As many recipient fields as you would like, Text area entry for the reader to send a personal note with the e-mail, Automatic page recognition and automatic return to that page upon completion of the form, Domain validation to prevent "parasitic" use by others, and Maintains a logfile of date/time, calling page and e-mail information. Cliff's Tell Your Friends Script This script allows your users to send an e-mail (written by you) to their friends just by entering their e-mail address and their friend's e-mail address. Visitors simply fill out their name, email address, and the email of the person they would like to suggest your site to. Mail-This-Page Mail-This-Page is a program written in Perl that gives visitors to a web page the ability to send copies of that page to any valid email address. The site owner simply inserts a small fill-out form into any webpage and he instantly gives viewers of that page the privilege to share the same content to anyone by sending a copy through email. Pass It On Ultra Pass It On Ultra gives you all the usage options of the free version, and is easily customizable to match the rest of your site. You can use a link, an image, or a form. Users can click an image or link, or fill out the form, and enter up to ten email addresses at one time. A separate email is sent to each address, and, unless the form method is being used, they can also add a personal message. The format of the email is also customizable, allowing you to add whatever you wish to the head and foot of the email. The follow-up page that the user is brought to once they send a recommendation is easily customized in any html editor. You create the page, insert some tags as instructed in the installation file, and you're done. Pass It On This script is a great utility for getting your web site a little extra promotion. Visitors are given the opportunity to send the url of the page they are visiting to a friend simply by entering the E-mail address of their friend. When they submit, the follow-up page informs them that their message has been sent, and the address that it has been sent to. Then they can either send it to another address, or return to the page they were visiting by using the link that is generated.
