Script Name DAD DAD is a comprehensive website ad management system. DAD is a mod_perl application with advanced targeting capabilities, a comprehensive administrative interface, and automatic client reporting. Because it uses mod_perl, DAD can takes advantage of Apache API elements like subrequests and notes, and it can rely on persistent database connections through DBI. These features allow DAD to efficiently implement advanced targeting rules that would be impossible under CGI. DAD can target ads by many factors, which include: remaining impressions, browser, domain name, number of times a user has seen an ad, virtualhost-specific environment variables, and other ads on a given page. The targeting code is written to allow easy addition of new targeting dimensions for site-specific needs. DAD provides a web-based administrative interface for maintenance of ads and their targeting dimension, ad placement, and site and reporting parameters. Ad parameters and placement can be updated in real-time on a live site. Additionally, each advertiser can be given a password-protected URL where they can view automatically updated statistics about their ads. BS Banner BS Banner is a random banner ad rotator written in Perl, it will allow a user to Display a random banner ad on each page of their site. (Requires SSI) Random Newsletter Banner Ad This Perl script allows you to output a 468x60 table banner ad with six random newsletters from a pre-defined data file. Advertisement Click Through and Logging This is a simple Perl script to log each click on an advertisement on a page. The logs are later analysed by Ad-Master to find the click/view ratio for a page. WebAdverts WebAdverts is a comprehensive system for maintaining a set of rotating banner ads on your site or for setting up a "banner exchange" between your site and others. Banners can be displayed either through SSI calls or via standard IMG tags. Multiple "zones" can be established, allowing certain banners to appear only on certain pages. It keeps track of exposures and click-thrus for each banner. It has been tested on thousands of pages at one time, on a high traffic website, and been proven to withstand consistent high traffic over extended periods of time without crashing or having data files corrupted as many systems do. This program requires SSI. Simple Banner Rotation This is a very simple Perl script for rotating banner ads on your Web site. It is meant to be used as a Server Side Include. Simply edit the location of the counter file, and set the number of banners you want to rotate. MIMAnet: Ad Rotator Ad Rotator is a perl script for rotating banner advertisements on a website using Server Side Includes (SSI). It features: Tracks outgoing clicks, Ads can be active/inactive, Random selection of ads, and Admin search and other admin functions. Lyles Banner Rotator This program will randomly display a pre-defined list of banners anywhere within your site. The admin feature allows you to setup a list of banners you want to rotate as well as remove or modify banners already in the list. No editing of text files is needed. This program allows for easy updates of new banners without you having to go through your site updateing the banner code. Simple Ad Simple Ad is a simple ad management program written in Perl.
