DOMIT! RSS ParserDOMIT! RSS is an RSS parser for PHP. It is written purely in PHP, and therefore does not require the installation of any PHP extensions.
Unlike most existing PHP RSS clients, it uses a DOM XML parser -- DOMIT! -- to convert an RSS feed into a DOM document that can be traversed using the standard DOM methods.
DOMIT! RSS is able to parse all flavors of RSS feed, and its API is designed to work identically across all versions. Its caching mechanism saves a local copy of the RSS feed and updates it only at specified intervals. It is able to detect certain types of non-compliant XML and repair it.
The lightweight DOMIT! RSS Lite is available for users who wish only to extract title, link, and description elements from a feed. Bible-Christian Scripture Parsers - GPLThe parsers read: KJV Bible, ASV Bible, Hitchcock's Dictionary of Bible Names, Easton's Bible Dictionary, Matthew Henry's Commentary on the Whole Bible, Torry's Topical Reference, MikesartBible Maps, MikesartBible database of Times, Events, Calendars and Feasts. They are customizable. Parses XML search feeds from The Bible Portal Project.
HPE - FreeHPE is a set of PHP scripts that collects updates from a collection of sites around the web and displays them in news boxes which can be organized on a number of pages. It uses MySQL to store data, and includes PHP3 functions that support formats raging from XML/RSS to raw HTML parsing. It also lets users select news sources and display them on a number of pages. rdfparse.php3 - Free (GPL)rdfparse.php3 is a simple RDF/RSS parser written in PHP3 (though it should work just fine in 4). The parser makes use of PHP's XML routines, so you'll need to configure PHP with --with-xml to use it. rdfparse.php3 is currently being used at http://nwow.org/ to provide wireless phone access to various popular websites. Jonah - FreeJonah is a set of scripts, written in PHP, to manage content and display for a portal-like site. It includes a backend which will fetch RDF/RSS/syndicated XML site summary or headline files, store them locally, parse them, and generate (and save) html from them. My.Netscape style RSS files and My.UserLand XML storylist files both appear to work. The frontend is extremely simplistic - it lists the available channels and lets you view the generated html for them.
