Script Name Jinx Links Jinx Links is a links database where you can log in and add categories and links. The user end is a simple page where you can print the links, a list of categories and also the top ten links (it keeps track of how many times a link has been clicked.) It's easy to install and configure, and also searchable. It stores how many links are in each category as well as how many times a link is clicked. Requires PHP4/MySQL. ZINK ZINK is an easy to use Yahoo-style link indexing script with a search capability. Features include: Unlimited depth of subcategories, Unlimited number of categories and links, Case incensitive search of the links database, Multilanguage support (English, French, Russian, Spanish, Catalan,Turkish in v1.1) for the end-user interface. Visitors can add links & categories, Customisable header & footer, and Simple admin section. The Bunghole Bunghole is a link indexing system with no sub-categories. Links can be viewed sorted in many ways, has a voting system (listed sites can be rated from their sites as well) that blocks double-voting. Furthermore, it has a newsletter mailing list and comes with a sample database of 300 links (from the Bunghole database). The code is a bit buggy but is an excellent example to show you how to make your own simple link index sites. Bunghole is written in PHP, and uses a MySQL database on backend. phpMyLinks phpMyLinks is a php script which allows you to manage your http urls using a MySQL database on backend. It is very easy to install, and keeps all operations fast and thin. You can quickly add, delete or modify your http links and follow any link in the alphabetical list to reach your destination. FreeAssociation This project is a rebuild of the Link Conservatory from the ground up. The new twist is that instead of just links, lots of different kinds of content can be added. This is useful for building sites like Slashdot, or any other magazine-type site. Main features include: Content exists at nodes which are connected together in a tree with pathways; Types of content include URLs, threaded discussions, linear discussions, polls, stories, downloadable files; User authorization and permission scheme; Public and private areas; The descriptions of the nodes will be searchable; and Mailing list can be notified when new content is added. Webliographer Webliographer is a server-based web application that allows people to build mini-search engines similar to Yahoo!. Webliographer is similar to Yahoo! in that every link is added by a human (rather than a computer program that searches the web itself). Because all links are added by hand, presumably by someone who knows what kinds of things you're looking for, it's likely that the links they add will be useful to you. The downside is that because links must be added by someone, you might not be able to find what you're looking for. PHP Free-For-All This is a set of PHP scripts that utilize PHP and SQL to provide the best possible links page for you to advertise your message or allow individuals to leave their links on your page. It features: category support, Password protected Web-based administration, Email-notification, and more. No database Post-A-Link This is a post-a-link script written in PHP which uses text files for data processing. It features: Writes to text files. No database required, A separate file for each category of links, Speedier, Easier to maintain, Convenient drop-down menu for navigation, Links are categorized, and each category loads on a separate page - no huge lists which scroll forever. Portail Portail is a link indexing system written in PHP that uses a MySQL database on backend for data handling. It features: several different access levels, search engine, category/subcategory support, Web-based administration, allows visitors to suggest their links, and more. Please note that Portail is entirely written in French. Link Conservatory Link Conservatory is a link indexing / directory management system written in PHP3 that uses a MySQL database on backend. With Link Conservatory software, users of your site can add, modify, or remove links in a moderated or unmoderated fashion, and outside visitors can suggest links for inclusion in a moderated Conservatory. Users can also be notified by e-mail as new links are added. Other key features include: dynamic tree expansion at any given category, link search engine, top 10 most popular links, a list of the last ten items added, random link generation, and more. Since it is open-source, you are free to customize the program to make it unique to your organization.
