    Description Instant Web Mail is a web-based POP mail client. It is very simple to install, but is nevertheless a quite advanced program. Some of its features include: Easy to install (does not require PHP to be compiled with IMAP support), reads and sends attachments, displays text/HTML attachments in-line (while still giving you the option of saving them to your hard drive), all the basic functions view all headers or the full source of the email, works even if the user has disabled cookies, localized date field, translated into several languages, can be set up to check for new messages automatically, customizable page layout, and more.

    YANOCC

    YANOCC (Yet Another NOCC) is a simple and fast webmail client which can handle POP3, SMTP, and IMAP servers. YANOCC is based on NOCC's code and is written with PHP4. It features multi-language support, MIME attachments, displays HTML messages, address book, user preferences, and folder support.

    BasiliX

    BasiliX is a webmail application based on PHP and IMAP, and powered with the MySQL database server. It supports simple mail actions, sending/receiving attachments, an addressbook with group capability, settings utility, multiple languages, multiple folders and themes.

    kmMail

    kmMail is a PHP-based mail program, based on the mail functionality of Keftamail and is being developed by current Kefta employees. It is meant to be a framework for putting a web-based mail program on your site, but is still robust enough to drop into your current site with little to no modification. The goals of kmMail are MIME compliance, speed, low overhead, and an enjoyable user interface.

    6XMailer

    6XMailer is a highly customizable POP3 mail reader written in PHP4. Features include: MIME support for attachments, HTML mail with displaying of embedded content, Multilingual support via language packs, Themes via theme packs, Per-user address book and settings such as displaying name and signatures.

    popper

    Popper is a fully features mail-client that is (more or less) MIME-conformant. This means that you can open and save attachments, view HTML mails (although it's a bad habit to send those), view attached mails, etc. Replying, forwarding etc. is just as easy as with any other mail-client. popper is written with PHP4 and is 100% java-free which reduces portability problems. You can even use lynx to read your mails.

    PHPwebmail

    PHPwebmail is a web browser based IMAP and SMTP mail client. Often it is not possible to make outside mail connections from networks behind strict firewalls. With PHPwebmail a mail client only needs a WWW connection to the mailserver. Specifically it only needs a connection to the webserver hosting PHPwebmail. Most of the times the web and mail server will be the same machine but PHPwebmail can connect to other mailservers as well as long as there is an IMAP connection between these two machines possible (allowed).

    rymo

    rymo, stands for Read Your Mail Online, is mail2web gateway. It uses a POP3-Server for reading and PHP internal mail functions for sending mail.

    netmania mail

    netmania mail is a web-based mail system integrated on Apache, MySQL, Php4. It is easy to install, easy to customize and includes an easy-to-use User-Interface.

    IMAP-PostAmt

    IMAP-PostAmt is a PHP-based web frontend to IMAP mail servers (developed on Cyrus imapd currently). The interface supports reading all kinds of MIME multipart mails, managing IMAP folder structures including ACLs and rudimentary mail composition.

    AeroMail

    AeroMail is a web-based e-mail client written in PHP. AeroMail uses an IMAP server to read and store messages in one or more user-defined folders. Features include HTTP authentication for login (no cookies), folder manipulation, multi-language support, configurable user interface, and more.
