Script Name POBS POBS, stands for PHP Obfuscator/Obscurer, is a free and open PHP program that makes PHP sourcecode almost impossible to read and edit for ordinary users. It is a simple way to protect your PHP sourcecode from people who whould like to adjust it or who would like to know the inner workings of it. It allows you to deploy your application and feel pretty safe about it. POBS works by replacing User-defined functionnames, variables and constants with a MD5 key of 8 characters. It really removes information that humans would like to have but computers don't care about. It's not ideal but quite a good option in my idea. Advantages include: Really removes information from your sourcecode; Hard to reverse-engineer; Cross-platform, cross PHP version; Open Source. So it can be adjusted to your own needs; Works with PHP cachers like APC and ZEND Cache; and Works with Zend Encoder. AVirCAP (aka CodeRed & Ninda Hunter) AVirCAP 2.0 (also known as CODERED Hunter) is a package designed to monitor the network for CodeRed and NIMDA type of activities. It is possible to set up several servers and have a central report repository that collects all reports. Now Supporting Reports by EMAIL, ON-Screen, CSV files uploaded to FTP and pure SQL reporting. You can get extensive in depth reports about each and every offending host. AVirCAP is designed with huge corporate networks in mind which concist of several subnets and where the need of several monitor activity reports are gathered into one place. It's possible to modify AVirCAP to monitor for other activities as well. The heart of the system is built with Apache 1.3.20, MySQL 3.23.32 and PHP 4.0.6. User-Agent block User-Agent block is a PHP script that allows you to 'block' user-agents you specify, such as e-mail harvesting programs, and user-agents designed to copy your website. The script will detect the user-agent, and return a page that you can customize, telling them why they are not allowed to access this site. Requires PHP 3 or 4, and Apache. PHP3 Cryption PHP3 Cryption is a very hackable, insecure encryption function that shouldn't be used for anything of great importance. Though the encryption is good, it's not going to hold up to the rigors of sophisticated cracking procedures. That said, PHP3 Cryption is a great way to encrypt and decrypt strings. Unlike many crypt functions, this goes both ways. Based on a password, you can encrypt or decrypt. You can also decrypt or encrypt numerous time, through looping or other methods. The alphabet of characters is also changeable. All these things allow you to modify and solidify the encryption. phpSecurity phpSecurity is meant to create a web based front end for security tools. PHP Firewall Generator The PHP Firewall Generator is a simple PHP script that generates a firewall script for ipchains based firewalls. The script is created based on configuration rules entered by the user. The aim is to support a rule set similar to those supported by commercial Firewall systems, and have it easy to configure.
