Script Name simpleauth The simpleauth package is a scheme for allowing users to register a new account on a website. The package uses PHP sessions and a single MySQL table to track users. The system is very, very simple and aimed at beginning PHP users who wish to learn how to allow multiple users to login on their own site. As such the scripts are documented clearly with many comments so you can learn from the scripts. Sessionara Before this release, I described Sessionara as a class for "Session management with MySQL". But actually it's more, it's a "session based data environment with MySQL". This class enables you to open a virtual session (identified by an unique session ID), then set and access variables in this environment. If you pass the session ID within multiple pages (via GET/POST parameters), then you get an easy and powerful way to pass values between various pages. The custom-made script can then be added to the page to be protected, and the page uploaded to the server without further amendment. authMe This authentication script allows you to protect any number of pages via an include. You will have to write the "protected" page into a function ( draw() ) that prints out the contents of the protected page after a user has authenticated. The log in information is stored in a MySQL database, and the passwords are stored as md5 hashes.
