The Web Enabled SQL (WeSQL) library is an extension to HTML, acting as a glue between HTML and SQL. WeSQL allows the use of pure SQL queries directly in html files. WeSQL is aimed at rapid web-database integration. WeSQL is written in Perl and currently only supports MySQL as backend SQL database.
ASDS is just a simple script that will store data and allow users to view/modify the data according to their permissions. It requires only CGI and no SQL or anything else that looks potentially harmful. I got the idea of writing this when writing a multi-user database for someone and thought that it could be useful. Who knows. It's quite versatile. The database will allow for up to 10^16 different sets of data (iirc) so basically this is limited by the size of your hard disk. All the data is kept in one file which you choose.
DataCat is a high-impact developer's tool that allows you to present your data in a variety of ways it needs to be presented. Myusersetup is a lil hack of a script from Josh Starmer (starmerj@musc.edu). Josh Starmers Script sets up (only) users and has a lot of overhead what admins never need. This modified version includes the following functions: setting up a mysql database, setting up a mysql user (username and database name are equal), setting up the users mysql password, and granting the user the rights to his database from a specified hostname.
FutureSQL is a Free, Open Source Rapid Application Development web database administration tool, written in Perl, using MySQL, DBI:DBD and CGI.pm. FutureSQL allows one to easily setup config files to view, edit, delete and otherwise process records from a MySQL database. It uses a data dictionary, configuration files and templates, and allows "pre-processing" and "post-processing" on both fields, records and operations. v2.2 includes many new improvements including session ids and secure login.
WebDB provides a Web interface to manipulate databases. It provides the ability to add to, modify, and delete from multiple databases based on keyword recognition. This application also implements the password authentication algorithms. It also features a search engine that allows users to search a shared database by keyword but doesn't give them the power of a larger database manager script. Database administrators can provide a database management interface for themselves and a corresponding database search interface for other people in the company.
Webdata Pro is the relational version of Webdata with a MySQL backend. Webdata Pro requires no programming experience or skills to administrate. Webdata Pro's web interface provides the administrator a point-and-click path
through: building tables; designing search pages, reports and forms; managing records; and defining member accounts. Webdata Pro has a built-in shopping cart, and can easily import data from other programs and upload images or
documents through the browser. The program has powerful member privileges, allowing the administrator to control each member's access to the data. Calculation fields such as SUM, AVG, COUNT, ESCAPE, IF-ELSE, and more are
offerred through Webdata Pro. The software creates complex JOIN queries automatically. The admin just selects the fields and Webdata
Pro does the rest. Individually customized reports and forms can be generated using any HTML editor.
