Script Name ClassWeb ClassWeb is a PHP/MySQL-based system of database-driven class websites that can be administered by instructors using a standard web browser. UCLA Social Sciences Computing has been developing and using ClassWeb since 1997 with over 300 class websites per quarter. This template- and database-driven, server-side software features: ClassWeb Main Page, List of Links Page, Announcements Page, Discussion Board, Additional Class Materials, Private Directory Access; Admin can access to all student features plus Web-based editor, File Upload Utility, View Class Roster of Students, Email to Class Roster, Grant Administrative Access to Others, Generate Multiple Choice Quizzes On-Line, List Files and Directories in ClassWeb Site, File Edit / Copy / Delete Utility, Create Popup Links, and more. FDat PHP File Database (FDat) is a project designed to be used by schools. It allows teachers to upload their tests so that all teachers can search for a particular test and download it. PHP Student List PHP Student List is a small project for students to keep in touch while studying and also after the exams/degrees. PHP Student List uses a MySQL database on backend. ALUMNI ALUMNI is a web interface to a MySQL-driven alumni database. It's designed for high schools, school districts, and colleges. tau tau is a fully-featured, advanced attendance utility with an easy to use web interface. It allows you to perform most of the tasks of everyday personnel and student management. It also provides high security with various levels of users and also manages data regarding courses, classes, departments, students and their time-tables. Further, it can be used to generate various kinds of complex reports. Managing personal schedules and creating dynamic timetable formats are also possible. tau is written in PHP 3.x and uses PostgreSQL as the backend database. adept adept is a web-based course system written in PHP3 using MySQL as the database. It allows authors to write short courses that would be available to users needing to learn something specific. As an author you can write your course directly online, and set up a FAQ, links to other sites and a homepage for the course. Each course also has its own discussion group. As an user you can register and get a password by email. Once you log in, you can choose any number of available courses. You also get access to a small notebook. For each part (module) of the course you can mark it as "ready" so you know where you are when you come back. The system also keeps track on new and changed modules. When you are finished with a course you can answer a small survey. Your "score" is also used to calculate the "average rating" for the course. adept is currently available in Swedish and English. PHPHomework PHPHomework is a set of php4 scripts to enable a website run a service for students and teachers. Students can look up new homework, teachers can edit, delete or add new one. There is also a set of utilities for the admin to manage subjects, user/teacher logins.
