Script Name WebAdverts WebAdverts is a comprehensive system for maintaining a set of rotating banner ads on your site or for setting up a "banner exchange" between your site and others. Banners can be displayed either through SSI calls or via standard IMG tags. Multiple "zones" can be established, allowing certain banners to appear only on certain pages. It keeps track of exposures and click-thrus for each banner. Banners can be "weighted" to control how often they are displayed, and can automatically be expired after a designated number of exposures, click-thrus or days. Individual banners can be of any size and don't all have to be consistent; WebAdverts can keep track of the height and width, as well as of the ALT and link texts, for each banner individually. Simple Advertisement System This advertising system is intended for small and large websites that need a reliable advertising system, that can withstand heavy traffic, and yet be easily managed. It has been tested on thousands of pages at one time, on a high traffic website, and been proven to withstand consistent high traffic over extended periods of time without crashing or having data files corrupted as many systems do. This program requires SSI. Simple Banner Rotation This is a very simple Perl script for rotating banner ads on your Web site. It is meant to be used as a Server Side Include. Simply edit the location of the counter file, and set the number of banners you want to rotate. MIMAnet: Ad Rotator Ad Rotator is a perl script for rotating banner advertisements on a website using Server Side Includes (SSI). It features: Tracks outgoing clicks, Ads can be active/inactive, Random selection of ads, and Admin search and other admin functions. Lyles Banner Rotator This program will randomly display a pre-defined list of banners anywhere within your site. The admin feature allows you to setup a list of banners you want to rotate as well as remove or modify banners already in the list. No editing of text files is needed. This program allows for easy updates of new banners without you having to go through your site updateing the banner code. Simple Ad Simple Ad is a simple ad management program written in Perl. It allows you to rotate ad banners, have advertiser's pay for impressions, and comes with detailed stats. It requires SSI. Random Ad This Perl script allows you to display ads randomly from a given data file. The script picks a random banner out of a list to load. You simply need to specify the file and directory that has your data file of banners and a HTML template file to be used. ad-counter.pl This script will increment a counter file recording the hit, then return a hyperlinked image tag. This is especially useful for things like advertisements, especially if you have multiple rotating ads. This script can be expanded on fairly easily to read the gif file name and the corresponding URL from either a data file or an array. This cgi is designed to be used by a file using Server Side Includes (SSI). Link Exchange Banner Rotator This is a very small script that will rotate your LE banners so that the same LE HTML code does not get called on a page(s). It creates and inserts and random number in the section of the LE HTML code that defines what page you have the LE add on. Requires SSI. Holiday.pl Holiday.pl is a CGI/PERL script that automates the display of banners related to specific end dates. You can also assign a web address and ALT text to the image so it can appear as a link. The ALT text can also be configured to display as a link caption to the image like ad banners sometimes do. The script starts at the top of a list defined in a separate text file and displays the image until the last date shown. It then moves to the next image in the list. When it reaches the bottom of the list it will start back at the top again.
